| Sport minister thanks athletes for making federation proud |

 | | Hon Richard Skerritt | Gold medal winning athletes have returned to the federation following the recently concluded Central American and Caribbean (CAC) senior championships, which took place in Cuba. The female 4 by 4 relay team won the nation’s first ever gold medal at the championship with a time of 43.53 seconds. The medal winning team comprised of Tanika Liburd, Meritzer Williams, Tameka Williams and Virgil Hodge. A delegation comprising of ministers’ of government, including deputy prime minister the Hon Sam Condor, the minister for sports, Hon Richard Skerritt, as well as the National Olympic Committee (NOC) president, Alphanso Bridgewater, supporters and the media welcomed the victorious team at the VIP lounge at the Robert L. Bradshaw International airport.
